Slideshare like Author Stream has been around for years, and is another one of these programmes, like ourselves that just keeps improving with age! Slide share also periodically sends you ideas and up dates.
Currently there are changes at Slideshare. They only have an embed button for Wordpress blogs, not Blogger. Watch this space as I solve the small problem.
