Year 6 have had
great fun creating QR codes for the virtual tour of TX Campus and codes for
their blogs. QR is the acronym for quick response. By
scanning the code with a smart phone, or an Android tablet, or an iPad or an iTouch
you are instantly directed to that particular online web site.
While there are
many QR generators we used Kaywa. This application is really user friendly.
Type in your
code, click Generate for free, and hey presto your code is created. By
integrating other technologies, take a screen
shot of your code in Kaywa, as seen below, using Gadwin screen capture (post ) and then insert this image / jpg into word.
Some of the Year
6 children further extended the use of
QR codes by taking the string of html code shown under the generate for free button, of their QR
and pasted this into their blog. Now they have links between 2 online
environments and can begin to draw viewers from their blog and their wiki.
